LIGHTWEIGHT AND POWERFUL

The new F70A is based on the proven and compact 4-cylinder 4-stroke engine with 996 cc, which is also used for the YAMAHA F50F and F60C. The extra power is achieved by using 4 valves (2 intake and 2 exhaust valves) per cylinder. This optimizes the combustion process. The F70A features electronic multipoint fuel injection (EFI). Together with the central throttle valve, this ensures optimum power delivery, clean combustion, and economical fuel consumption. To ensure you get the best performance from your boat, you can choose between different propeller sizes. After all, only the right combination of boat/engine and propeller guarantees maximum fun on the water.

COMFORTABLE

The new F70A is packed with sophisticated YAMAHA technologies that give you peace of mind and complete confidence. All important engine functions are constantly monitored by a variety of sensors. This means you always have control over the engine's performance. In the unlikely event of a technical defect, the engine automatically switches to an emergency program that limits the maximum engine speed so that you can still safely reach the nearest port. The PrimeStart™ cold start system starts the engine as easily as a modern car – just turn the key and off you go. A built-in fuel filter with water separator protects the injection system from contamination, contributing to Yamaha's proverbial reliability. Of particular interest to anglers is the variable trolling speed, which can be set between 620 and 900 rpm at the touch of a button. You simply can't get more comfort and control when trolling or maneuvering in the harbor. But Yamaha offers even more: the F70A is equipped with an electronic anti-theft device as standard. It can be activated at the touch of a button using a remote control and works like a car immobilizer, i.e., the ignition is electronically interrupted. An exclusive feature that you will only find at Yamaha. A light coil supplies the battery and the on-board power supply with energy. And Yamaha's ideal corrosion protection, consisting of a large number of sacrificial anodes and a 5-layer exterior coating, contributes significantly to the long service life of the engine.
