Service points for oil, coolant, fuse box, seawater strainer, drive lubricant (Z-drive only), and power steering fluid (Z-drive only) are located at the front of the engine alongside Mercury's color-coded maintenance schedule for easy-to-understand service guidelines and hassle-free access.

The Mercury Diesel 3.0L delivers breathtaking performance while minimizing noise and vibration, while air filters also serve as mufflers, eliminating the turbo whine normally associated with such diesel engines. The engine mounts are designed to minimize vibration. This makes conversations while driving much more pleasant.

Corrosion resistance. Mercury diesel engines offer state-of-the-art corrosion protection, including a thermostatically controlled closed water cooling system. Water-cooled engine oil, transmission oil, and power steering hydraulic oil reduce engine compartment temperatures and extend engine life. The SeaCore® system is available for ultimate saltwater protection.
